Fort de Soto State Park, FL

Had a couple of hours to kill before our flight back home, so Tate and I took a hike around Fort de Soto State Park. The fort had some cool 12-inch mortars that could fire an 800+ pound projectile more than 6 miles! We spent four days in Florida, and didn't get munched by mosquitoes until 3 hours before our flight home. Unfortunately for Tate, we also had quite a bit of time at the airport for him to catch up on homework.

Tate at IronKids Nationals!

Tate and I went to St. Petersburg, FL this week so he could compete in the IronKids National Triathlon Championships. We had a great time, and Tate finished 10th in his age group (and was the fastest of the nine CO athletes in his age group). We couldn't have done it without all the support from many who helped him get here!

Heidi dipping the proverbial toe...

...in Boulder Reservoir, in my favorite image from the Boulder Sunset Triathlon, Heidi's third. Heidi smoked most of the competition (guys included) on the bike, and rocked it to a 3rd Place in her age group! If you're interested in seeing the whole set of images, see: http://jeffwarnerphoto.com/site/HeidiTriathlon/index.html.

ISS over the Front Range

Barely got to the front of the house to catch the International Space Station cruise over at 8:10 PM; it's quite a sight if you've never seen it. Luckily there's an app for that (Satellite Tracker), and it makes it pretty easy to figure out where it's going to be, how high in the sky, etc.

Amber & Scott's wedding

We all went to San Diego for my beautiful sister Amber's wedding, and here I had to work! I had a great time shooting the wedding, which was on a gorgeous beach cliff in La Jolla. The June/July+ gloom cooperated, and the fog actually lifted for a few days while we were there. Oddly, there were a few raindrops as Amber and Scott and I were finishing up the bride/groom images after the ceremony. It actually made for some fantastic sky, and I was thankful that the full-on blaring sun calmed down for a bit. Please go to the Links to Recent Work section of my website if you'd like to see more from Scott and Amber's Wedding.
