Golden Gate FD's Firefighter Recognition Print

Awhile back Judson Miller, Chief of Golden Gate Fire Dept., approached me about using a print to award to their firefighters to recognize their efforts during the Indian Gulch Wildfire. I worked with him to produce a commemorative 8x10" print that was given out at their appreciation party on Sunday. They even produced their own customized logo for the Indian Gulch Wildfire; very cool!

I'm glad to have had a small part in conveying the rather significant outpouring of gratitude from all over the Golden area toward these brave men and women who help keep us all safe in myriad ways.

Gallop at the Grove 2011

The 4th Annual Gallop at the Grove 5k/1k Run was today, and 2011 marks the fourth year I've covered it. I had a little help from a friend, Marty Pelletier, who aptly covered the finish line while I was out on the 5k race course. Thanks again for donating your time to a great cause, Marty! Despite our recent winter-like spring weather, we woke Sunday morning to warm temperatures and light wind. Of course the wind would come up just prior to the start, but it didn't stop Dart Schwaderer from setting a new course record of 15:59! A great time was had by all, and what follows are a few selects from the day. If you want to see a more complete set, please check out the Gallop at the Grove 2011 Gallery on the main website, and if you ran it and want to purchase race images, you can find them on my event sales site.

The image used was one of mine, taken on the second night of the fire from North Table Mountain:

  • 8x12" lustre print: $18
  • 8x12" lustre print, mounted on 1/4" foamcore, UV coating: $33

Let me know what size/mount you'd like, and we can arrange payment either via PayPal, CC, or personal check. If you are interested in any other prints of the fire presented here or on my main website, please email me for details. I can ship directly to your home for an additional $10, or you can pick up here in Golden.

A final thanks to all the emergency services crews that participated in the events last month, we are all forever indebted to you!

PS: As a result of a request, I am also offering a general version of this print for those of you who don't live here in Mountain Ridge. Please let me know which version you'd like.
